If you encounter any problems when setting up your Starlink router, you can factory reset it.
After resetting it, the router will take a few minutes to restart, and you will be required to set a new Network ID and Password.
Here is how to factory reset Starlink router:
- For rectangular Starlink:
- Unplug from power and then plug back in 3 times in a row on (2-3 second interval).
- It will take a few minutes for the router to restart.
- From the list of available WiFi connections, connect to the network named "STARLINK" or "STINKY".
- You’ll be prompted to change your Network ID and password.
- For circular Starlink:
- Push the button located on the bottom of the router (use a paper clip, etc.).
- The light will briefly turn blue. Wait for a solid white light. It will take a few minutes for the router to reboot.
- From the list of available WiFi connections, connect to the network named "STARLINK" or "STINKY".(the default network ID located on the back of your router under the AUX port).
- You’ll be prompted to change your Network ID and password.
- Starlink Mesh router:
- Unplug the mesh from power and then plug back in three times in a row.
- When repairing the node, make sure to connect to your main Starlink router's network.
- About two minutes later, on the Starlink App you will receive a notification: "PAIR MESH NODE".
