Apple introduced new wallpapers with a completely redesigned lock screen in the new iOS 16 .
But that created some issues to some users.
One of them reported: “1 hour of using the iPhone 13 Pro with iOS16beta1 and battery drained from 100% to 78%”.
Another said: “After 20 minutes of morning iPhone scrolling, it already got very hot and lowered the brightness”.
Some people noticed that the temperature changed after choosing a new wallpaper.
The earth wallpaper was the culprit! The phone gets hot instantly after changing to it.
Maybe because that wallpaper keeps location tracking constant.
So, the workaround to stop overheating on iOS16 is:
Reboot and change the wallpaper (don’t use earth wallpaper), this will fix the issue.
