Starlink is a satellite Internet provider enabling low latency broadband connectivity around the world, it covers many places (see Starlink coverage map 2022) including where the internet was unavailable, unreliable or too expensive.
Starlink consists of many thousand small, mass-produced satellites in low Earth orbit , which communicate with designated ground transceivers.
Actual service can only be provided in countries that have authorized SpaceX to provide service in a specific national jurisdiction. As of March 2022, the beta internet service offering is available in 31 countries; Starlink Internet coverage will continue to grow to near-global coverage of the populated world.
As they launch more satellites, install more ground stations, speed, latency will continue to improve.
Although service is only guaranteed for your active account location, you may update your service address or add additional Starlink commands to new locations as available.
You will not be able to change your address if the new area does not have current service availability.
