When your air
conditioner is not working 😒😕, there are a few simple things to check on first,
before calling your service agent to avoid any unnecessary call-out charges:
If your air conditioner isn't working, start by checking the following:
- Make sure that the unit is switched on.
- Examine the circuit breakers to make sure the power has not been turned off.
- You may need to replace a blown fuse or reset the circuit breaker.
- Reset the system by shutting it down, shut it down for at least 15 minutes and reboot.
- If the unit is on and the circuit breaker or fuses are intact, check the external isolator of the outdoor unit to make sure it is on.
- For battery-powered air conditioner, make sure the batteries do not need to be changed.
- Check your thermostat: air conditioning, correct cool / heat mode, temperature 🌡, etc: you can quickly turn on the air conditioner by setting it to a very high / low temperature, make sure the unit is working and reset it to the desired temperature.
